POSITION OVERVIEW:
This position is responsible for ensuring the accuracy, integrity, and timeliness of financial records and transactions. This role plays a critical part in the day-to-day financial operations, including sales recording, invoice generation, purchase and expense tracking, and cash and bank management. The position requires meticulous attention to detail and strong organizational skills to maintain proper documentation, prepare vouchers, and ensure all records are filed in a systematic and chronological manner.
KEY ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Record sales entries and generate invoices accurately.
- Maintain purchase and expense entries.
- Handle cash and bank entries, including cheque preparation and fund transfer documentation.
- Prepare vouchers and organize filing chronologically.
- Ensure all payments are reviewed by the Internal Audit team on time.
- Conduct AR (Accounts Receivable) ageing analysis and prepare Debtor MIS reports.
- Perform AP (Accounts Payable) ageing analysis and compile Creditor MIS reports.
- Ensure timely collection and deposit of cash and cheque.
- Reconcile domestic sales on a monthly basis.
- Perform regular bank reconciliations and update necessary documentation.
- Confirm and reconcile balances with parties.
- File VAT and income tax returns on time.
ACADEMIC QUALIFICATION:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
SKILLS/JOB SPECIFICATION:
- 4 to 5 years of experience in accounting or a similar role.
- Knowledge of accounting principles and financial reporting.
- Proficiency in accounting software and MS Excel.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- High attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to handle confidential information with integrity.
